Air pollution

Council investigates complaints about nuisance from odour, fumes, smoke and dust under the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

When investigating a complaint, Council will consider all aspects of the alleged nuisance, including its intensity, time of day or night, duration and the impact on neighbouring properties.

Gas odour

Concerns in relation to gas odour are investigated by the Petroleum and Gas Inspectorate within the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy.
