Guided night walk for National Threatened Species Day
Next date: Saturday, 06 September 2025 | 06:00 PM
to 07:00 PM
Celebrate National Threatened Species Day at CREEC! Have you ever wondered what animals get up to when you’re asleep? Join us for a special nighttime experience as we shine a light on the city's nocturnal wildlife.
The night starts with a talk by local owl expert and Environment Officer, Stefan. You’ll learn about Moreton Bay's owl populations as he shares his insights as a dedicated owl carer. Stefan will discuss how we can all help protect and conserve them.
Afterwards, you’ll take a guided bush walk through the CREEC grounds. Bring a head torch and keep your eyes peeled for nocturnal wildlife. With a bit of luck, you may spot owls, possums, gliders, and more!
For a hooting good time, don’t miss this magical night walk and owl talk under the stars. The walk is free, but spaces are limited.
