Welcome Make Music Month to Moreton Bay with Let's Make Music, a free community event in Narangba!

Bring the whole family for a day full of events and start the soundwave that will kick off a month of musical festivities.

Prepare to raise the roof with a variety of things to do such as an ABBA singalong, open mic for under-18s and a big band show.

Get your groove on with a body percussion session, a freestyle rap taster, or improvise on The Mostly Mellifluous Melodium, a giant music-making installation.

There will be food trucks, and drinks available to buy throughout the day.

With so much to do, there is sure to be something for everyone. Come along to this family-fun day and have a jamming good time!

PRIME Community Band

Keep Calm... The British Are Coming! King Charles and Queen Camilla will be in attendance for a FREE 1-hour performance by PRIME Community Band. Come along and get a selfie with the Royals and listen to well-known music from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Includes - Coldplay, The Beatles, Tom Jones, Queen and Elton John. Formed with the mission of bringing the joy of big band music to the Moreton Bay region, this dynamic ensemble has been captivating audiences with their electrifying performances.

Today, The Moreton Bay Band Big Band continues to entertain audiences with their exceptional talent and high-energy performances. With Rose Salemanesa leading the charge with her sublime vocals, they deliver a truly enchanting and unforgettable musical journey.

About the facilitators

Amy Kate Bryant

After pursuing a Bachelor of Music and diploma of education Amy Kate spends most of her time (all of her time) as a professional musician, owner of AK music studio and classroom music teacher. Currently gigging and teaching, AK understands the importance of performing from a young age and the influence it has had on her own career.

Roman MC

Roman MC is an internationally acclaimed freestyle rapper, speaker, comedian and loop artist who has toured with the smash hit urban circus 360 Allstars, playing sold out shows from Shanghai, China to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland (Best Of Fest, 2018).

The Joy Dispensary

The Joy Dispensary's Zac Callaghan and Olivia Cosham are professional musicians, performers and Arts-Health facilitators.

They work across a range of sectors including disability, mental health, schools and seniors, delivering high-quality, creative workshops and programs. These workshops and programs aim to promote positive mental health and wellbeing while fostering fun community engagement.
