Meet the Author: Lian Hearn's Retirement Tour

Published 15 January 2020

Fantasy fans and budding authors ink your pens and mark February 12 in your diaries!

Revered fantasy fiction author Lian Hearn is coming to North Lakes Library ahead of her retirement, so this could be your last chance to meet the internationally successful writer.

Acting Mayor Mike Charlton encouraged residents to take advantage of this exclusive literary opportunity.

“This could be your last chance to meet one of Australia’s most successful writers, so this free event cannot be missed,” Cr Charlton said.

“Lian is an internationally recognised writer, with her books translated into 42 languages and selling millions of copies worldwide.

“The release of her last two books Orphan Warriors and Sibling Assassins represent the thrilling climax to her bestselling Otori series, set in a mythical world inspired by medieval Japan.

“These new releases will be available for sale at the event or attendees are welcome to bring along their own copies to signed at the end of the night.

“Local events such as these provide an excellent opportunity for aspiring writers to learn from successful authors and to build important industry connections.

“Whether you’re an interested fan or budding author, this will be a fantastic evening for all.”
