Create a large scale mural workshop

street art on concrete wall

Council has organized a free, five-hour large-scale mural workshop.

Join public artist and designer Kirsten Baade as you learn:

  • how to design and create a large-scale mural
  • things to consider when creating artwork for the public realm
  • how the public environment can inform your creative concepts how to translate your concept from small to large scale
  • practical hands-on techniques using paper, collage, graphic markers and paint pens
  • how to transfer your concept from paper to wall.

To help participants build their mock concept, we will provide photos of large public walls. Paper, pens, glue, scissors, paint, and markers are also available during the workshop.

We recommend participants bring their preferred medium such as an iPad or laptop.

The venue is wheelchair accessible.

The workshop will include catering. You can let us know of any dietary requirements when booking.
