Campbells Pocket Road and Rucker Road intersection safety upgrade

An intersection with trees and open space

Council is upgrading the Campbells Pocket Road and Rucker Road intersection to make it safer and handle growing traffic. The upgrade will reduce crash risk and improve travel for everyone.

What’s changing

The project proposes to improve road safety by:

  • installing pavement markers, curve markers, guideposts and warning signage
  • removing existing pavement and resurfacing with new pavement
  • widening of traffic lanes and shoulders
  • formalising a channelised right-turn lane onto Rucker Road
  • relocating or removal of several roadside hazards, including large trees and poles
  • installing guardrails where required.

Impacts on residents

As part of the road improvements, we will need to adjust a few driveways. We’ll coordinate access with residents and reinstate driveways with a similar finish.

Council will contact those who are directly impacted.

Keeping you informed

Council will notify nearby residents once a construction start date is set. This will be via a works notification. The notification will outline hours of work and any travel impacts.
