Open innovation challenge: Mobility, access and inclusion

31 Jul 2025 - 9 Oct 2025

Calling all Queensland-based startups, founders and innovators! We’re offering $100,000 in grant funding for startups and businesses to develop real-world solutions. We want your ideas to help make our city more accessible and inclusive for everyone. This is your chance to pilot your innovation in one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities and help improve everyday life in Moreton Bay.

Nearly 1 in 5 people in Moreton Bay live with disability. Others, like elderly residents, tourists or parents with prams, also face challenges getting around. While progress has been made, gaps remain in transport, pathways, and public spaces. We want innovations that improve mobility, access and connection across our city. Your solution could help people:

  • plan accessible journeys confidently
  • get to services, public spaces and recreation with ease
  • feel more included, independent and connected.

This funding opportunity is open to new ideas, digital tools, services or systems, anything that helps make Moreton Bay better for all.
