Council provides the following environmental grant opportunities:

Our Healthy Environments Grants

Our Healthy Environment Grants fund not-for-profit groups that engage and support communities in our City. These groups are involved in the protection and enhancement of the environment and its native wildlife.

What funding is available

The grant provides funding of up to $50,000 to support community groups to:

  • facilitate urban greening
  • connect, protect and enhance ecological linkages and wildlife habitats
  • sustain conservation for significant species across the landscape and improve catchment health
  • support Traditional Custodian groups to build Country-centric biodiversity capacity and elicit traditional ecological knowledge
  • build community knowledge, awareness and capacity, and improve biodiversity data.

Engagement Sessions

Our technical experts were available to discuss projects and answer questions from interested parties about Our Healthy Environments Grants.

Engagement Sessions were held throughout March at:

  • Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre | 4 March 2025 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • North Lakes Library | 13 March 2025 - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Kumbartcho Environment Centre | 18 March 2025 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Osprey House Environmental Centre | 20 March 2025 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Successful applicants from previous grant rounds

Voluntary conservation program grant

Voluntary conservation grants are available for members of Council’s Voluntary Conservation Programs. This includes Voluntary Conservation Agreements, Land for Wildlife, and Backyards for Wildlife. The grants assist landholders to complete environmental projects on their properties. These projects aim to protect and enhance native vegetation and wildlife habitat.

What funding is available

Grants are available up to a maximum of:

  • $2,500 per Voluntary Conservation Agreement property
  • $1,250 for a Land for Wildlife
  • $500 for Backyards for Wildlife.   

When to apply 

  • Applications open Monday 4 August 2025.
  • Project acquittals are required by Sunday 31 May 2026.
