Join us at Beachmere Hub for a free workshop on Moreton Bay’s migratory shorebirds.

This workshop coincides with the arrival of shorebirds, returning from their winter migration.

At this event, you’ll hear from the Queensland Wader Study group. You’ll learn about local and migratory bird species, birdwatching tips, and more. They’ll share their stories and expertise on these special birds.

Children are welcome to join. They can listen to the presentation or join in some shorebird-themed creative arts. They can also play Agents of Discovery, a fun interactive app led by Agent Piper the Pied Oystercatcher. It will challenge their bird knowledge and spotting skills while exploring the outdoors.

Learn more about Agents of Discovery.

Afterwards, make your way to the beachfront to put your new identification skills to the test. You can enjoy the sea breeze and watch as birds feed on the mudflats.
