Gas bottles and cylinders
Empty gas bottles for use with barbecues and other domestic applications are accepted at participating waste facilities.
To prevent fire and safety hazards, never dispose of gas bottles in wheelie bins or at waste facilities when with mixed with household waste.

Notes and conditions
- Accepted gas cylinders can be one kilogram upto and including nine kilograms in size.
- Residents disposing of gas cylinders over the annual limit will incur a fee.
- Large commercial gas cylinders (over nine kilograms) are not accepted at Council's waste facilities.
- For information on disposing of lightweight gas canisters including propane and butane cans, refer to gas and fuel canisters.
- Empty gas bottles must be placed at the allocated location at participating waste facilities. A reloading management fee may apply for incorrect disposal of gas bottles.
