Morayfield Community Centre

This multi-purpose venue with ample parking is conveniently located in a quiet area off Morayfield Road.

The venue is comprised of two individual rooms available for hire. A large hall with a bar and a stage and the supper room which includes a full commercial kitchen and covered barbeque patio area. The main hall or supper room can be booked separately or the whole facility may be booked to ensure exclusive use.

Supper room

The supper room is part of the Morayfield Community Hall. This room includes access to a full commercial kitchen and is approximately 96 square metres, 16 metres by 6 metres.

An accessible toilet, which also provides a baby change facility is located in the rear corridor to the left of the stage. Please view the facility prior to booking to ensure it meets your accessibility requirements.

This venue is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for the setting up, pack-down and cleaning of the venue. The facility is available for hire between the hours of 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM.

Capacity

The supper room has a capacity of 40 people.

Accessibility

Morayfield Community Hall - Supper room is accessible by wheelchair from the northern car park at the bottom of the access ramp, which includes allocated disability access parking bays. The internal toilets are also wheelchair accessible with a designated disability access toilet.

Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Bookings

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Please note the following:

Booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date.
A minimum of 1 hour hire applies to all bookings.
Bookings can be requested up to one year in advance.
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

Note: No cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving equipment, dishwashing liquid, wash cloths or tea towels are provided.

Restrictions on hire

Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue inspections

Council may provide prospective hirers with one inspection prior to booking. Inspections are conducted between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM business days and subject to hall availability.
