Alma Road and Marsden Road, Dakabin - intersection upgrade

Council has completed the planning and design of the Alma Road and Marsden Road intersection upgrade project, with pre-construction work occurring between September and December 2022. The upgrade aims to provide greater traffic capacity, and an all-round safer intersection for all road users - including cyclists and pedestrians.

The first stages of pre-construction will include:

• relocating overhead and underground services (including NBN, Unitywater and Energex)
• removal of a tree at the intersection
• removal of shrubs on the southern side of Alma Road (the eastern approach to Marsden Road).

Once pre-construction is complete, Council will prepare for construction of the intersection with a view to start works in 2023.
