Travel demand management strategy 2012-2031

Travel demand management strategy

The Travel Demand Management Strategy is about providing transport choices and making land use decisions that help people reduce the impacts of their travel. The Strategy will guide the planning and delivery of the region's travel demand management initiatives for the next 20 years.

It is estimated that over 30% of the people living in the Moreton Bay Region do not have access to a car. Improving transport choice such as walking, cycling and public transport can significantly reduce demand on road infrastructure and provide access to employment and services for a large part of our community.
