City Sings: Menaka at North Lakes Community Centre

Award-winning Indian-Australian singer-songwriter Menaka shares the richness and beauty of the South Indian Carnatic vocal tradition. She does this in a way that feels welcoming and accessible to everyone.

Raise your voice and get ready for City Sings, a series of free workshops provided by City of Moreton Bay.

If you love singing in the shower, karaoke, or have ever dreamed of belting it out on stage, this series is for you! Guided by talented and friendly facilitators, you’ll explore basic vocal techniques while learning uplifting songs.

Their catchy choruses will boost your mood and brighten your day. Each workshop offers a supportive and welcoming environment that makes group harmonising fun.

City Sings concert

The workshops culminate in a special celebration, the City Sings concert. Hosted at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre on Sunday, 14 June. Come along, add your singing voice to the ensemble, and experience the joy of song. Together, we’ll build confidence, share laughter, and discover the power of singing.
