Recycled crushed concrete

Recycled aggregates (crushed concrete) are available for purchase from the Bunya, Caboolture and Dakabin waste facilities. These are available in 80mm, 40mm and 20mm minus aggregates.

The aggregates are crushed and screened on site from incoming hardened concrete and also smaller quantities of brick, pavers and ceramics at our waste facilities. Processing these materials into a resource means more waste is being recycled, preventing it from going to landfill.

Customers are welcome to come to the waste facilities and inspect the product to determine if it is suitable for your needs.

Crushed Concrete Prices

• 80mm is $10.00 per tonne loaded including GST
• 40mm is $10.00 per tonne loaded including GST
• 20mm minus $10.00 per tonne loaded including GST.

Minimum quantity of 0.5 tonnes applies.

For sales of more than five tonnes, the Department of Environment and Science requires Council to collect the following information: Date of dispatch, customer’s name, ABN (if a business), address of the person receiving the resource and quantity being taken.

Loading times and restrictions

All vehicles can attend site to purchase crushed concrete from opening to one hour before closing. Mechanical loading is available, however, wait times may apply.

Council is currently only loading trucks and tipper trailers over 4.5 tonne GVM. Sales to smaller vehicles will be available shortly.

Crushed concrete will only be sold providing the load is covered when leaving the site.

All customers must remain in their vehicles with their windows closed and air conditioning set to recirculation while concrete is being loaded.

Availability

Current recycled aggregate availability for each waste facility is updated onsite. All efforts are made to ensure availability of the product is accurate, however, quantities may quickly change due to increased or large volume sales.

Mechanical loading is available, however wait times may apply.

Conditions for purchase

• The approved use of this product/resource is for engineered purposes in building, construction and/or landscaping applications.
• The user of this product/resource must comply with the End of Waste Code for this resource. Penalties apply. Refer to the End of Waste Code.
• Persons who use crushed concrete do so at their own risk.
• Customers must remain in their vehicle with windows closed and air conditioning set to recirculation while concrete is being loaded.
• All loads must be covered when leaving the waste facility.
• Council strongly recommends consultation of the Safety Data Sheet below and the use of Personal Protective Equipment when handling crushed concrete including heavy duty gloves, long sleeved shirt and pants, safety glasses and dust mask or other respiratory aids.
