Sandstone Point Community Complex

The Sandstone Point Community and Sports Complex Hall is a small modern building located within walking distance of shops and surrounded by the sports fields and lush bushland.

The hall is 15 metres x 8 metres and is a self-service model. All hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of the hire.


The hall has a capacity of 100 people.


The Sandstone Point Community Complex has a continuous pathway from the car park to the hall entry. An accessible toilet is located in the complex. Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.


Sandstone Point Community Hall is managed by Sandstone Point Community Association on behalf of Council.

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. 

  • Booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date.
  • A minimum of one hour hire applies to all bookings.
  • Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

All hirers are required to complete an online venue induction prior to their booking. Inductions are current for 12 months. Complete online venue site induction.

  • 50% discount for non-profit/incorporated associations
  • Council may charge a refundable security bond - use the bond calculator to estimate bond payable.


  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
  • Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue Inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the hall manager and venue availability.
