Bray Hall

Bray Hall is situated in the heart of Petrie, within walking distance of shops, cafes and public transport.

With the backdrop of peaceful Sweeney Reserve, the hall is located beside Mathieson Park sports fields and ovals.

The hall is 10.5 metres x 13.5 metres with a 3.9 metre x 6.9 metre stage and opens out onto a small fenced yard.

The venue is a self-service model. All hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of hire.

The hall has a capacity of 120 people.

Accessibility

Bray Hall has ramp access from the entry to the designated hall car parking bays beside the hall. An accessible toilet is located in the hall.

Bookings

This hall is managed by Kallangur Halls Committee on behalf of Council.

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Note:

booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date
a minimum of 1 hour hire applies to all bookings
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

All hirers are required to complete an online venue induction prior to their booking. Inductions are current for 12 months. Complete online venue site induction.

Restrictions

Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight, however, equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day by arrangement with Hall Management
Smoking is prohibited in, and within 5 metres of Council venues, except for designated smoking areas
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machines is prohibited
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, sand or confetti is not permitted
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks
Animals, with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without prior approval.

Venue inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the hall manager and venue availability.
