Paints must be disposed of at a specific facility that manages these materials.
Never place in wheelie bins or mixed with household waste to prevent spills and safety hazards.
Never pour paint into sinks, toilets or household drains.
Paintback stewardship scheme
Paintback is available at the Bunya, Dakabin and Caboolture waste management facilities. It includes domestic and commercial architectural and decorative paints under the Paintback product stewardship scheme.
Customers may drop off up to 100 litres of eligible paint per visit, including the volume of empty containers. Each container must be 20 litres or smaller, sealed, and intact.

- Domestic disposal is limited to a total of 20 litres of paint, primer and thinners per visit.
- Commercial disposal of paint, primer or thinners is not accepted at Council waste facilities with the exception of the Paintback stewardship scheme at Bunya, Dakabin and Caboolture waste management facilities.
