Deception Bay Aquatic and Fitness Centre

Head to Deception Bay Aquatic Centre for your exercise fix or an easy day out with your family.

The facilities include a 50-metre swimming pool where you can take a dip and test your freestyle skills or use the shaded and heated swimming pool, which is perfect for therapy, rehabilitation and water exercises.

If you have young children, they can splash around in the children’s wading pool. For the adventurous kids, there’s a zero-depth splash pad with exciting water features and a water-tipping bucket.

When you’re hungry, the aquatic centre has you covered! There’s a poolside cafe with grab-and-go goods, or bring a packed lunch to use the barbecue facilities and sheltered picnic tables.

50-metre swimming pool

This 50-metre swimming pool ranges in depth from 1.1 metres to 1.5 metres.

Heated swimming pool

This shaded and heated swimming pool hosts therapy sessions, rehabilitation, exercise, relaxation and more. The pool has a depth of 1.2 metres.

Children’s wading pool

This shaded pool has a depth of 80 centimetres.

Zero depth splash pad

This water playground for kids has exciting water features and a water-tipping bucket.

Accessibility

There is an accessible path of travel from the designated accessible parking spaces to the building entrance.

A unisex accessible toilet is available.

The heated program swimming pool has a fixed hoist and water wheelchair (maximum weight capacity 200 kilograms). The sling is to be supplied by the patron if required.
