Woorim Rotary Park
Woorim Rotary Park is a scenic beachside park located at the northern end of Woorim on Bribie Island. It has ramp access to Woorim Beach, a popular swimming spot for locals and visitors, making it easy to get to and from the beach. With golden sand and gentle surf, the beach is a great spot to soak up the sun and unwind by the sea.
The park is also a place of historical significance. During World War II, Bribie Island formed part of the coastal defence network protecting South East Queensland. Woorim Rotary Park preserves key remnants from this era, including bunkers and infrastructure once used by the military. Informative signage throughout the park shares the island’s wartime history and its role in Australia’s defence.
Today, the park blends its rich heritage with a range of modern amenities. Visitors can make a day of it, with picnic tables and barbecues ideal for sausage sizzles or cooking up a feast.
Outdoor fitness equipment is available too. It reflects the relaxed and active lifestyle that defines Bribie Island living.
Whether you want to discover local history or enjoy the sea breeze, Woorim Rotary Park on Bribie Island is a must-visit destination.
