City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Samford Parklands is a sport and recreation facility home to several sporting clubs and community organisations.
These organisations hold Council leases and sports field permits over facilities on-site. For bookings, refer to Events in public spaces.
The parklands cover a large area, making it a great place to stay active. Enjoy a walk and the beautiful scenery using the pathways that connect the sport and park facilities.
Learn new tricks or how to skate at the small skate park. Parents can keep watch in the sheltered seating area.
Bring your furry friend down to socialise and burn off some energy. The off-leash dog exercise area has an agility course and separate enclosures for small and large dogs.
