Spanning the full distance of Margate Parade, Margate Beach Park invites visitors to soak up its scenic charm and open space.
The park features benches that overlook the water. There’s also a covered picnic set and an electric barbecue area to prepare a hot lunch.
You can use the wheelchair-friendly boardwalk that spans the length of the beach. Along the way, there are viewing huts with sheltered seating. Sit back and enjoy watching the incoming water birds, or try to spot Moreton Island.
If you prefer a workout, go for a jog along the beachfront or use the fitness equipment to get a sweat on.
Once you’ve finished exercising, there’s direct beach access. Cool off in the shallow water, build a sandcastle with your kids or play a game of catch on the shoreline.
Nearby is a public toilet and shower facility where you can wash off the salt after your swim.
