City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Lindsay Road Sports Ground is a sport and recreation facility that is home to an array of community organisations.
These organisations hold Council leases and sports field permits over facilities on-site. For bookings and event enquiries, refer to Events in public spaces.
The fields are perfect for a friendly game of cricket or soccer with friends when not in use by the local clubs. After your game, cool down or enjoy a picnic in the sheltered seating area.
