Alf Shaw Park

Alf Shaw Park in Strathpine is a local parkland loved for ball sports and team games. Access to the park is from Melaleuca Drive or Stanley Street.

Both sides of the park have a kids' playground. Each playground includes a slide, climbing fort and swings, on bark ground cover.

When you enter from Melaleuca Drive, use the dedicated car park for quick access to the half-basketball court. It's the perfect place to practise your three-point shot or to play a game with friends.

From here, you'll also have access to the tree-covered picnic table and electric barbecue where you can prepare a hot lunch.

If you want to stretch your legs, take to the sports field. There's plenty of space to practise running drills, have a game of touch football or toss a frisbee around with friends.

For your next indoor event or birthday party, check out Alf Shaw Park Community Centre. The centre has a kitchen, a meeting room and a fenced backyard with its own play equipment.
