The Hills District Community Centre - Main Hall

The Hills District Community Centre  is accessible by wheelchair from the top car park , which includes allocated disability access parking bays. A unisex/wheelchair accessible toilet is located off the breezeway. 

Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.  Please note the following: 

• booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date
• a minimum of 1 hour hire applies to all bookings 
• bookings can be requested up to one year in advance
• council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

1. Check availability and complete the online booking request
2. Review site induction program and complete registration. Note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

Hall inclusions:

• 34 rectangular tables 1830 mm x 760 mm
• 140 chairs
• PA system includes:
• 1 wireless microphone (2AA batteries required)
• Touchscreen PA (HDMI cable required)

Commercial kitchen inclusions:

• 100 crockery & cutlery (dinner plate, side plates, bowls, mugs, wine & water glasses) 
• 30L urn (160 cup)
• double door glass fridge
• commercial oven with hot plates
• microwave
• dishwasher
• instant boiling water

Note: No cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving equipment, dishwashing liquid, wash cloths or tea towels are provided.

• 50% discount for non-profit/incorporated associations
• Council may charge a refundable security bond.

• Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
• Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited in, and within 5 metres of, Council venues and 10 metres from the playground, except for designated smoking areas.
• The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
• Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
• Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
• Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Council may provide prospective hirers with one inspection prior to booking. Inspections are conducted between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM business days and subject to hall availability.
