Elimbah Soldiers Memorial Hall

Elimbah Soldiers Memorial Hall, first opened on ANZAC Day in 1922, is a rustic timber building situated in the quiet town of Elimbah. Backing on to a peaceful bushland setting the hall is ideal for community and private functions.

It is 15 metres x 10 metres with an 8 metre x 2.5 metre stage and is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up, pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of hire.

The hall has a capacity of 100 people.

Bookings

Elimbah Sports and Recreation Committee Inc manage the Elimbah Soldiers Memorial Hall on behalf of Council. The venue is available for hire between 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Please note the following:

booking requests are required at least one week prior to the requested hire date
a minimum of one hour hire applies to all bookings
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

Check availability and complete the online booking request
Review site induction program and complete registration. Note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

All hirers are required to complete an online venue induction prior to their booking. Inductions are current for 12 months.

Restrictions

Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight, however, equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day by arrangement with Hall Management
Smoking is prohibited in, and within 5 metres of Council venues, except for designated smoking areas
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machines is prohibited
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, sand or confetti is not permitted
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks
Animals, with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without prior approval.

Venue inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the hall manager and venue availability.
