Deception Bay foreshore dog beach area
Dogs are able to be exercised off leash along the beach between Wallin Avenue and Joseph Crescent.
Off-leash trial
Foreshore footpath area between Wallin Avenue and Joseph Crescent, before 8:00 AM and after 4:00 PM daily. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times, including entering and leaving the foreshore footpath area.
Please note: Council is currently trialling these arrangements.
Information sessions
City of Moreton Bay is holding information sessions along the Deception Bay Foreshore area to gain community feedback regarding dog off-leash and on-leash activity on the foreshore footpath and beach.
- 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM Tuesday 23 September | Boat Ramp, near the corner of Captain Cook Parade and Emerald Avenue.
- 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday 26 September | Foreshore footpath, corner of Captain Cook Parade and Seymour Street (base of the stairs).
- 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM Monday 29 September | Boat Ramp, corner of the Esplanade and Balmoral Place.
- 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Friday 3 October | Boat Ramp, corner of the Esplanade and Beaufort Place.
- 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM Saturday 4 October | Boat Ramp, corner of Captain Cook Parade and Wallin Avenue.
- 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM Friday 10 October | Foreshore footpath, at the base of picnic area opposite the Library.
- 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Tuesday 14 October | Foreshore footpath, corner of Joseph Crescent and Beach Road.
- 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM Friday 17 October | Foreshore footpath, near Wallin Family Place.
