Beach view

• From the beach the colonnade connects to the promenade providing a welcoming and open connection with Ground Floor restaurant/takeaways and deck above.

Promenade approach

• The end of the colonnade marks the pavilion’s entrance.
• The circular open space features an accessible, gently sloping ramp and seating along the edges, creating an open and inviting structure.

The wave and circular open space

• The curved “Wave” landscape area provides a landscaped outdoor seating area with additional shade structures.
• The circular open space is an open structure with a shaded fringe for formal and informal gatherings.

Accessibility and amenities

• Public amenities will include an accessible toilet, accessible shower, changing facilities, toilets, and a Changing Places facility. These will service pavilion patrons, park users, and beach goers.
• The two-storey colonnade, lined with hospitality outlets provides:
  • an accessible and covered path of travel to the beach
  • public seating
  • weather protection for the event deck above.

Improved accessibility

• A new ramp provides an accessible path to the upper level and Marine Parade.
• The ramp defines the northern edge of the event deck.

Public roof terrace

• The existing Marine Parade stairs and new accessible ramp connect to the public roof terrace
• This space provides uninterrupted views over the space to the beach and bay
• The roof terrace provides access to the event deck and hospitality space
• The roof terrace is connected to the ground floor by a staircase and lift

Public lookout

• A public lookout deck provides a view over the activities below and out to the bay.

• It features outdoor dining decks that have views over the bay, beach and promenade

• The upper level hospitality space has views over the bay and parklands opening onto generous outdoor dining decks.
