Investment in youth innovation and entrepreneurship will have a significant economic impact and support business growth in the region by developing pride, creating aspirations, and delivering on council’s broader regional prosperity objectives within our growing communities and economy.

An exciting awards program designed exclusively for students in years 9-12 to encourage a passion for entrepreneurship and bring their big ideas to life.

An annual event for forward-thinking people of all abilities challenging them to take their hand at making productive use of the wealth of open data available to us in everyday life.

Past programs

Teacher professional development coding and robotics workshop 2022

This workshop provided local teachers the chance to get hands-on experience to up-skill in STEM Education and creating a collaborative network of teachers across both private and public schools in the region.

The program also provided:

  • an in-depth insight into how teachers can access coding and robotics hardware as well as how to incorporate this technology into their own course curriculum.
  • aided them in developing their skills to create further opportunities for youth innovation and entrepreneurship
  • provided understanding of teaching tools and methodologies to support the development of new programs related to coding and robotics.
