Beyond the Farm Gate Program
Beyond the Farm Gate provided agribusinesses such as commercial farmers, rural landholders, and artisan producers in Moreton Bay the chance to grow their business, add value to their produce, and build stronger connections with consumers.
Delivered in partnership with agritourism and agrifood experts Regionality Pty Ltd, this business program helped them tap into the booming agritourism market.
Through tailored workshops, seminars, and online courses, practical tools, proven strategies, and expert knowledge was shared to build and grow a successful agritourism venture.
Running throughout 2025, the heavily subsidised Beyond the Farm Gate Program included two powerful capacity-building streams.
The Agritourism Incubator Program helped businesses explore, shape, and test their concept with expert support which involved completing a concept agritourism business plan to guide their next steps.
The Agritourism Accelerator Program built on the concept plans developed through the Agritourism Incubator Program to test the idea’s feasibility, viability, and desirability from both the business's perspective and their customers. By the end, the businesses had a comprehensive agritourism business plan to guide their business start-up and growth. The plan covered key elements, such as:
- consumer segments
- brand framework
- marketing strategies
- risk management
- biosecurity
- how to operate an agritourism venture alongside commercial farming and family life.
