NAIDOC flag raising ceremony
NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity for all Australians to connect with one of the world's oldest continuing cultures.
This year's NAIDOC Week marks 50 years. This year’s theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrates five decades of strength, resilience, leadership, and culture. For many, the word “Deadly” means excellent, strong, and inspiring making it a fitting theme.
For First Nations communities, NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect and celebrate. A celebration of culture, Elders and the strength and resilience of community across generations. It is also a chance to share stories and knowledge with the wider community.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Whether you are joining NAIDOC Week for the first time or have celebrated for many years, this event is an opportunity to learn, listen, and share.
