Choosing local isn’t just a purchase - it’s an investment in your community.
This May, City of Moreton Bay is encouraging residents to get behind local businesses as part of Queensland Small Business Month. Every dollar spent locally supports jobs, strengthens our economy and helps small businesses thrive.
How the community can get involved
You can support local businesses by:
- shopping at local stores, cafés and service providers
- choosing local businesses when booking services
- sharing your favourite finds on social media
- tagging local businesses and use #ChooseLocal and #QSBM2026
- leaving a positive review on their Google or social media pages
- recommending a business to friends.
Look out for businesses displaying Choose Local signage and show your support.
By backing local businesses, you’re helping keep Moreton Bay a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
How businesses can get involved
Join the Choose Local campaign and show your support for the community.
Participation is free and voluntary, and a great way to:
- increase your visibility
- connect with new and existing customers
- be part of a city-wide movement supporting local businesses.
Promote your business
Use campaign materials in-store, online or at your stall to show customers you’re part of Choose Local.
