Who can apply

Grants are available for members of Council’s Voluntary Conservation Programs including Voluntary conservation agreements, Land for Wildlife, and Backyards for Wildlife. 

The grants assist landholders to complete environmental projects on their properties which aim to protect and enhance native vegetation and wildlife habitat.

What funding is available

Grants are available up to a maximum of:

  • $2,500 per Voluntary conservation agreement property
  • $1000 for a Land for wildlife
  • $500 for Backyards for wildlife

How to apply

Applications must be made online through SmartyGrants, while the grant round is open.

You can apply by clicking the "Apply now" button when displayed in the community grants table. 

Review the guidelines(PDF, 314KB) before applying. Project completion and all acquittals are required by Wednesday, 31 May 2023.
