Towards one million: Our moment of opportunity

Mayor Peter Flannery standing next to two signs, one for the white paper, one for Invest Moreton Bay.

“Growth is inevitable, but success is not. If we want a city that’s not just growing, but thriving, we need to act now,”  said Mayor Peter Flannery.

The University of the Sunshine Coast, working with City of Moreton Bay, has created a new economic white paper. The paper, Towards one million: Our moment of opportunity, highlights the need to work together to build a thriving, resilient and inclusive economy. It emphasises collaboration between government, businesses, schools, and the community.

The paper expands on Council's City of Tomorrow Advocacy Strategy. It will help us transform the city and deliver long-term benefits for the community. By working together, we can grow into a $78.5 billion economy by 2060.
