From Shadow to Light: A Journey Within Dr Subrat Mishra

Award-winning artist Dr Subrat Mishra presents a powerful art exhibition with black-and-white drawings. His work explores feelings such as vulnerability, strength, healing, and human connection.

The drawings are made using pencil and pastel on black paper. They use strong light and dark contrasts to show deep emotions and moments of personal change.

The exhibition is held in Bongaree on Bribie Island. It invites visitors into a quiet and thoughtful space where art helps us think about hope, strength, and what it means to be human.

The event includes an Opening Night, an Artist Talk, and art workshops throughout July.

Dr Mishra is a General Practitioner and also a self-taught artist. His work is shaped by his experience in medicine and caring for people’s wellbeing. He believes art can help people heal, saying:

“Art, like medicine, has the power to heal. Where words fail, expression begins.”
