Community grants
These grants provide funding for not-for-profit groups to deliver community, cultural, sporting and environmental initiatives in City of Moreton Bay.
You can apply anytime from 15 July until midnight on each grant's final round closing date.
Applications received by midnight on these dates will progress to assessment.
We will notify you of the outcome about 6 weeks after these closing dates.
Applications not submitted by the final closing date will be ineligible.

Local community support

Up to $5,000 to support cultural, sporting and environmental initiatives.
- Round 1 closes 31 July - for projects between 15 September 2026 and 31 March 2027
- Round 2 closes 30 September - for projects between 15 November 2026 and 31 May 2027
- Round 3 closes 31 January - for projects between 15 March 2027 and 30 September 2027
- Round 4 closes 30 April - for projects between 15 June 2027 and 31 December 2027
Community activities

Up to $20,000 to support initiatives that strengthen reconciliation, and improve social, cultural, sporting and environmental outcomes for City of Moreton Bay.
- Round 1 closes 31 August - for projects between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027
- Round 2 closes 28 February - for projects between 1 May 2027 and 30 April 2028
Before applying, you must discuss your proposal with Council. This will allow you to get initial feedback to ensure it aligns with the funding priorities for this grant. To arrange a time, email grants@moretonbay.qld.gov.au.
Please allow at least one full week for this request to be actioned and an appointment scheduled. Appointment requests received in the week prior to the round closing date may not be addressed.
Community facilities

Up to $30,000 to support the development of new, or improve existing, community facilities in City of Moreton Bay.
- Round 1 closes 30 September - for projects between 1 December 2026 and 30 November 2027
- Round 2 closes 31 March - for projects between 1 June 2027 and 31 May 2028
It is recommended that you preview the application form 6-8 weeks prior to the round closing date to ensure you have time to prepare all required supporting documents.
