Street Art Lab - Autumn

This season of Street Art Lab, participants worked with artist Maia Cavendish. They created and installed collage posters at the Burpengary Sports Complex.

Over three workshops, the group explored the idea of home. Using old magazines and paper, participants cut and layered their materials. They created vibrant collages full of imagination. The artworks featured plants, animals, cosy spaces, city scenes and personal details that reminded them of home.

Once the collages were finished, participants worked alongside Maia to scale up their ideas. Together, they added extra images to the designs. The works were then installed on the wall using traditional wheat‑paste techniques.

The final mural bursts with colour, texture and personality. It brings vibrancy and creativity to the Burpengary Sports Complex.

The finished mural will be up at Burpengary Sports Complex until October 2026.
