Albany Creek Community Centre - Hall

The Albany Creek Community Centre is located in a quiet residential area, backing on to bushland. This multi-room air conditioned venue has recently been refurbished and has a new commercial kitchen and wooden flooring.

Hall

The hall is 15 metres x 22 metres with a 3.7 metre x 8.5 metre stage and can be booked separately or with other rooms with access from a shared foyer. The venue is a self-service model. All hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of hire.

Capacity

The hall has a capacity of up to 180 people.

Accessibility

Albany Creek Community Centre has pathway access from the street parking to the main entry and an allocated accessible parking bay. An accessible toilet located in the venue is available for all hirers.

Bookings

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Note:

booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date
a minimum of 1 hour hire applies to all bookings
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

Restrictions

All music/noise to cease at 10:00 PM and building must be vacated by 11:00 PM due to the proximity to the neighbours.
Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight, however, equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day by arrangement with Hall Management
Smoking is prohibited in, and within 5 meters of Council venues, except for designated smoking areas
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machines is prohibited
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, sand or confetti is not permitted
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks
Animals, with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without prior approval.

Venue inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the hall manager and venue availability.
