Naming Public Places, Structures & Other Assets Excluding Roads Policy

1. Outlines Council’s policy position on the naming of all Council owned or administered bridges, buildings and community facilities, parks, reserves, open space, waterways, places, memorials and other assets (except for roads).
2. Establishes a naming convention for each of those categories of Council controlled assets which is both responsive to anticipated community expectations and consistent with the stated values of stakeholders and Council.
