The Tax Help program is a network of ATO-trained and accredited community volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax.
Visit the Australian Taxation Office website or phone 13 28 65 to find out if you are eligible for Tax Help. ATO lodgment due date remains 31 October. For an extension the taxpayer needs to contact the ATO directly and negotiate this before they book in for a Tax Help appointment.
Tax Help is offered at libraries from August to November each year at various locations and times. Session times vary at each location and appointments are essential, contact the library to book.
