Art in Libraries
The Art in Libraries program is a collaboration between City of Moreton Bay libraries and galleries. The program provides opportunities for the work of local artists, art groups, creatives and hobbyists to be seen, appreciated, and celebrated.
Who can participate
The program is open to:
- individual applicants
- groups
- not-for-profit organisations
- schools.
Where artwork is displayed
Places available for exhibitions include a range of wall spaces and display cabinets at the following libraries:
- Albany Creek
- Arana Hills
- Bribie Island
- Burpengary
- Deception Bay
- Woodford.
How we choose
All applications are assessed with consideration given to:
- the quality of the work submitted
- if the work is suitable for installation at one of our library locations, and family-friendly.
- if the artwork is the original work of the artist/s.
Exhibitions are scheduled throughout the year.

You'll be contacted once your application has been received and assessed. The assessment time is usually within 4 weeks.
Artwork that cannot be displayed
City of Moreton Bay Libraries cannot host displays that:
- sell goods or services
- promote a political or religious agenda
- are unsuitable for display in a public place.
