Book clubs

Our libraries support almost 200 book clubs who meet regularly to discover new authors, share ideas and reading experiences. Registered book clubs can borrow from our book club sets.

Book club sets

Book club sets contain 10 copies of the same title and are available for loan by all book clubs registered with Moreton Bay Region libraries. Browse our book club sets, check out the latest additions to our book clubs, or search our catalogue. Next Chapter Book Clubs

Our libraries are launching Next Chapter Book Clubs at all branches, where people with disabilities can enjoy books and find friends in their community.

Library staff will introduce these aspiring readers to this unique, community-based book club program for adolescents and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Next Chapter Book Club has branches around the world. Its members (including some who cannot read) love books for the same reasons most people do – to escape to other places.

Hundreds of clubs meet weekly in North America, Australia, Africa and Europe. This makes Next Chapter Book Club the largest community-based book club program of its kind in the world.

Please speak with staff at your nearest library to register free of charge.
