Babies and toddlers
Read, talk, sing and play every day. In the first five years of life your child’s brain develops faster than at any other stage. The simple things you do together each day can have an enormous impact.
Be one of the first to read the new Stories for Little Queenslanders selection, a series of 12 children’s picture books, published by State Library of Queensland, as part of the Queensland Government funded First 5 Forever initiative. The books have been created exclusively by authors and illustrators with a connection to Queensland and will help children develop a sense of identity and belonging through stories that link to their environment and local communities.
50 Books to Read Before You’re 5 is just a small selection of new and old favourites.
Children learn from the most important people in their lives. Moreton Bay Region Libraries offers a range of interactive resources to support you as your child’s first teacher.
