About the author

Yvonne Mes is a children’s author and illustrator based in Australia. She writes and illustrates picture books for children with curious minds. A frequent speaker at schools and writers’ festivals, she uses her many years of experience as an early childhood professional to present engaging, entertaining and educational sessions.

As the coordinator of Write Links, Yvonne supports children’s authors and illustrators through facilitating networking opportunities, professional development and face-to-face critique groups. She is the editor at No-Nonsense Picture Book Critiques for authors.

Yvonne grew up in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, but has made her home in Australia. She buys more books than she can read, comes up with more ideas than she can write or draw, and has more children than she can manage. But best of all, she is never bored.
