Our Local Authors Expo event will give local authors an opportunity to meet our community of readers and writers and tell them about their books.
Selected authors will each have a stall or table in our event area where they will have short sessions with small groups of audience rotating through. Each strictly timed session will run for 4 minutes; authors to present for 3 minutes followed by audience Q & A for 1 minute. After sessions are all finished there will be an opportunity for book signing and sales. Authors need to have capacity to manage their own book sales at the event.
This event is for emerging local authors who are self-published or have recently published their first book with a traditional or hybrid publisher. All books must have an ISBN and local authors presenting at this event will need to be residents (either past or current) of City of Moreton Bay Council area and Library Members. Library Membership is free and open to residents of Brisbane City Council area, Somerset Regional Council area, Noosa Shire Council area or Sunshine Coast Regional Council area.
Submission of this form does not guarantee your inclusion as a presenter in the Local Authors Expo or that your book(s) will be added to Moreton Bay Libraries Collection.
