Next date: Friday, 15 May 2026 | 11:30 AM
to 12:30 PM
What do you get when you put two and two together? Two young authors, two new gutsy crime thrillers and one amazing In Conversation.
Join Mercedes Mercier and Georgia Harper as they discuss their new novels, The Couples Retreat and Dove.
The Couples Retreat takes us to Kangaroo Island in a tense intoxicating thriller about privilege and power, friendship and jealousy, and the thin line between wanting it all and losing everything.
And in Dove, our protagonist finds herself no longer able to stay silent after a violent interaction with her neighbour and writes a bold question across the front wall of her permaculture farm: WOMEN: What would you do if you had a whole day on earth free of men?
The ensuing social media storm explodes with lethal consequences.
Mercedes and Georgia will explore their books and the role their professional experiences have played in forming them as writers.
Free. Bookings required. For adults. Mercedes and Georgia appear courtesy of Penguin Random House Australia and will sign copies of their books at the event. Book sales on the day courtesy of QBD The Bookshop North Lakes.
