Join Imagine Music for a hands-on workshop where you can dive into the world of beat production!

Learn the fundamentals of rhythm, drum machines, and digital audio tools while experimenting and creating your own beats.

All equipment and tools will be provided. All levels welcome! No prior music or beat-making experience required. Just bring your creativity and curiosity.

Free. Bookings required - only teen participants require tickets. Ages 12-17.

In this workshop

  • Explore different beat styles across genres like hip hop, EDM, rock, and reggae.
  • Get hands-on with drum machines (808), MIDI controllers (MPD, PUSH 2), and digital audio workstations like Ableton or GarageBand.
  • Learn layering, sequencing, sampling, and arranging beats into full structures.
  • Work individually and in groups to create, share, and refine your own beats.
