Mic check: Who's listening?

LIB mic-check 480x270.jpg

Mic Check is a playful storytelling workshop where kids uncover stories and explore fun, creative ways to bring them to life.

From radio booths to podiums, protest speeches to campfire tales, we’ll explore the many ways people share ideas and make their voices heard. In this workshop, children will:

  • Choose a “Where Would You Speak?” station like a radio mic, news desk, or podium.
  • Find inspiration in the library shelves (or from their own imaginations).
  • Create and record (or perform) a 15-second story, message, or thought.
  • Share their voice in a fun group moment at the end.

This session aims to build confidence, verbal communication skills, and reinforce the elements of story-sharing.

Free. Bookings required. For ages 7 - 12.
