The Sound Studio

Hire our fully equipped studio at the Caboolture Hub free of charge. Use the video editing software for all your content needs and explore the world of sound recording and podcasting.

To use The Sound Studio, you will need a basic understanding of music production and studio operation. Watch the introduction videos to get started. Once you have completed the web-based introduction, you are free to book The Sound Studio. You must be a library member to use the Sound Studio and equipment. 

If you are younger than 18 and would like to use the Sound Studio, you must have someone older than 18 make the booking on your behalf. You must also be supervised by someone over the age of 18 for the duration of your session.

DJing

Mix your own music using the Pioneer DJ XDJ RX3 standalone console. Play from USB drives, DJ software, two laptops at once with external record decks or CD players. You can mix microphones and other sources into your performance too.

This equipment is only to be used within The Sound Studio. Some noise restrictions may apply.

Induction walkthrough

After watching the introduction videos, you are now ready to use the studio. When you book a studio room, you can request a quick induction walkthrough that will be given when you collect your swipe card. The walkthrough will include:

  • an explanation of our terms of use
  • a short demonstration on the safe use of the equipment.

You will need to read and agree to this statement before using The Sound Studio equipment:
