The Songwriters Roundtable at Caboolture Library

Next date: Saturday, 22 June 2024 | 01:30 PM to 03:30 PM

Mira Chorik performing with her guitar in a park, with a banner behind her that says 'Fund our future'.

More than just how to write a song, get ready for a deep dive into the art of the singer-songwriter at Caboolture Library. The Songwriter Roundtable offers creative tools, interactivity, and writing exercises to help you understand and develop your voice and identity as a songwriter.

With lots of permission to play, we will delve into the world of storytelling through description and observation. We will explore song structure, the magic of metaphor, and understand point of view and rhyme. It is an opportunity to workshop ideas and learn how to write song lyrics with impact. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen.

Who should attend?

The Songwriters Roundtable is for those new to songwriting and seasoned songwriters feeling a little stuck or uninspired. Anyone wanting writing tools to improve their lyric writing will get value out of the event. Find out more about the Songwriters Roundtable
